Entering electricity figures is different from sending a message to BaristaCritic. The calculator works locally in your browser; optional Google Analytics is controlled by a separate choice.
The calculator form, published guidance and site scripts were inspected on 27 September 2026 for this factual correction. That check does not establish Google's account settings. We have not used or tested any of the equipment on this site.
What we collect
Calculator entries and other information
The electricity tool has an input form, not an account, contact or payment form. The calculator script processes your entries in your browser and does not itself send those values to a server or save them in browser storage. That describes the calculator code, not Google's separate processing after analytics is accepted.
The published pages have no account-registration, comment-submission, contact-submission or payment forms. Contact is by email, separately from the calculator. We do not build profiles, and we do not sell data to anyone. We do not use analytics to identify anyone.
Consent
How analytics consent works
- With no saved choice, the site's consent script shows "Accept analytics" and "Reject" without loading Google's analytics tag. Accepting loads that tag. A saved acceptance also loads it on a later visit.
- Choosing "Reject" leaves Google's tag unloaded. While that saved rejection remains, the consent script loads neither the tag nor the banner on later visits.
- The choice is stored in this browser's local storage under
baristacritic., not in an account or a preference cookie. The script sets no expiry. If browser storage is blocked or cleared, the choice may not be remembered.analytics. consent - After acceptance, use "Turn off analytics" below the footer. With browser storage available, it saves a rejection, attempts to clear accessible Google Analytics cookies with names beginning
_ga,_gator_gid, and reloads the page without loading the tag. This does not delete data already sent to Google. - After rejection there is no on-page control to reopen the choice. Clearing this site's local storage in your browser settings makes the banner appear again on a later load; clearing cookies alone does not remove the local-storage choice.
